Now it’s that time of year, where students flock to the infamous beach hotspots of Cornwall and enjoy their well-deserved English summer. But before heading to all the local bbqs and surfer sessions, you need to find that perfect two-piece to show your beach bod off. What better way than to enjoy those gorgeous sunsets over the sea with swimwear to match?
Topshop have some great additions this year, bringing us the popular aztec print.
If fuller swim suits are more your style try Topshop’s bathing suit range. There’s some cute little numbers which are very Marilyn Monroe inspired, perfect for that beach beauty.
The floral print is fabulous for Falmouths hot spot ‘Gylly Beach’. Team this up with some sandals and sarong and off you go, you’re ready for summer!
I always see links to Fearne Cotton’s range on very.co.uk and after looking over the site I found this by Love label. I’ve never heard of them before but I’ve found some fab pieces.
Price – £45.00
Definitely worth it to have that bit something different. Looks great with the white trousers that the model’s wearing. The japanese inspired piece would look great dressed up or down, making it very versatile.
Hope you like this, if you want to look at any more designs and labels check out the website here – http://www.very.co.uk/
Hey, I’m so sorry for the lack of posts in last two weeks or so, I guess I have a lot to catch up on. First things first I’m working on my portfolio for uni at the moment, that’s taking majority of my time up. Secondly I have gained my first piece of paid work for Cornwall Today, well chuffed if it all goes to plan. And thirdly I do need to update you of my time in Paris last month, long overdue!
Trying to work out the metro system was absolute hell and also not being able to speak french! Sadly my GCSE level french failed me. You know that scene in Sex and the City, when Carrie first see’s the Eiffel Tower and she lets a cry, I was like that except I didn’t let a cry. The popular monument was breathtaking, bigger than I had imagined! The view was absolutely amazing, I’m not usually one scared of heights but on the way up in the lift I did feel slightly weird. I would recommend everyone experiences it and the price isn’t too bad for six euros! Had to take this shot. The architecture of the city is some of the best I’ve seen. Each building is so beautiful, It makes me think of Chanel and old fashioned Paris.
You can’t come to Paris without experiencing a Chocolat Chaud…
Paris by night.
I really like this picture, I was struggling though to take it in the cold weather, my hands were shaking that’s why the picture is slightly blurry.
I had a fabulous trip to Paris on the eurostar. I would recommend anyone using it as it only takes two and a half hours to get there from London St pancreas. The price of the tickets depends on the time of the year, mine was only sixty pounds return but I think that’s because of going in Feb. Keep a look out for cheap deals on the eurostar website, you’re bound to come across something cheap. My next stop on the map is Milan in May with my mum to pre – celebrate my graduation.
I know I should just pick one, but this week I’ll be naughty and pick three, enjoy!
Chelsea Girl, River Island – price – £20.00
Chelsea Girl, River Island – price – £30.00

Hope you like these pieces, enjoy!
Having won the chance to travel to London this week with uni for the PPA awards at UCL, I’m very much excited and also carefully planning what I’ll be wearing to the important event. Firstly I bought your ordinary pin stripped pink shirt for the special occasion, then after finding my next purchase I quickly changed my mind and took it back.
I decided to check out Dorothy Perkins, sometimes they do have some cute bits in and also great sales items which I’ve found in the pass. This is when I came across an ordinary black and greyish white dress from the boutique, UTTAM london. I didn’t think too much of it when it was on the hanger, it looked quite dull and boring. Usually I would look for the brightest thing in the shop as I quite like clash items, but not this time round. I decided to try it on and put some small kitten boots with it for height and you know what, it actually looked really effective. Also a bargain at fifteen pounds and after using my student card, it came down to a small twelve pounds. I’ll let you know how it all goes when I come back on Friday.
This blue blazer was bought from HNM in Italy at Christmas time for twenty euros. I think the contrast of the colour’s will look fab with the dress.
We all love her and they can’t stop talking about her since her first appearance in top american television programme, Gossip Girl. She has become one of my favourite fashion guru’s at the moment. Move over Sarah Jessica parker! Here are some of her inspired looks.
Red vest top, George atAsda – Price – £3.00
Moto Jeans, Topshop – Price – Price: £38.00
There are so many sailor inspirations that I found on the web. The best imitation that I found was on Etsy.com, which specializes in vintage inspired pieces.
To make this a more fitted outfit, you could attach a white belt like Leighton has to hers.
This next photo is taken from one of the episodes of Gossip Girl. Her character Blair Warldorf never has a bad day. This look is fabulous for the daytime, smart and sophisticated and ready for an important meeting. This is definitely a head turner.
Frilly White Chiffon Blouse, Matalan – price – £16.99
Black Pencil Skirt, Asos – Price – £15.00
Codello Tassel Print Silk Scarf, Asos – price – £25.95
Leighton never forgets to accessrize with her outfits, you can pick up some vintage pearl bracelets cheap on Ebay or specialised websites. Her look reminds me very much of Chanel.
You can catch Leighton on Monday nights on itv 1 in Gossip Girl.
Hope you like her inspired looks. Please feel free to email me any idea’s or fashionistas you would like me to research. Thanks for reading.
